Manchester United assistant coach Eric Ramsay will equal an MLS record by moving to the United States.

The deal would make the 32-year-old the youngest head coach in Major League Soccer history, surpassing in a matter of months Roy Wegerle, also 32 when he took charge of the Colorado Rapids in 1996.
Welshman Ramsay has long been regarded as a promising talent in British coaching, and is praised by Wales manager Rob Page.
Ramsay worked as an assistant with the national team in 2023 and Page commented: “He is arguably one of the best young coaches in football at the moment.”
The Shrewsbury-born coach previously managed Chelsea's under-23s before joining United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

He initially arrived as a set-piece coach, but gained importance and is now listed on the club's list as “Individual Coach”.

Ramsay remained among the changes, but now it looks like he will be heading to the United States.
MLS is currently on its winter break, and the 2024 season will begin on February 22 when Lionel Messi's Inter Miami takes on Real Salt Lake.
Last season, Minnesota finished 11th in the Western Conference and missed the play-offs.
