Aston Villa are considering selling midfielder Douglas Luiz this month to ease PSR's concerns, talkSPORT understands.

Villa suffered a blow when their Premier League rivals voted against their proposal to increase the amount clubs can lose over a three-year period from £105m to £135m.

As a result, they are under pressure to raise cash before the current PSR period ends on June 30.

Luiz is attracting interest from Italian giants Juventus, who finished third in Serie A last season.

Juve are currently searching for a new boss following the decision to relieve Massimiliano Allegri of his duties.

Arsenal are also long-time admirers of Luiz.

The Brazilian star enjoyed a brilliant campaign with Villa in which he scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists in 53 appearances.

Unai Emery's team is preparing to play in the Champions League next season and Luiz will play a key role in that if he stays.

But with Villa feeling the pressure of the PSR's concerns, he could be allowed to move on.

The Brazilian midfielder began his career at Vasco de Gama, before signing for Manchester City in 2017.
