Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti insisted Nacho Fernandez he could still stay at the club beyond the end of the season, amid speculation over his future. The 34-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, and has been heavily linked with an exit.
The last one is this Inter Miami could be a potential destination for Nacho, and there is little doubt that Major League Soccer is his preferred option. Ancelotti said there was still a chance he would stay.
“He has not decided yet, we are waiting, but we are not in a hurry. After the season he will be able to choose what he wants to do next season. Now his idea is to try to win the 15th.”.
At the beginning of the week it was reported that the midfielder of Castilla Mario Martin intended to fight for his seat in the first team next year, with the departure of Toni Kroos on the horizon. The Italian manager saw no obstacles.
“He is progressing very well, he can be in the team without a problem, he has quality and a good attitude. He, like other youth players, can think of a future in which he will be in the first team.”
Competition for spots is likely to be fierce, however, with Jude Bellingham likely to play more next season. Martin is also to the liking of Davide Ancelotti, according to recent reports. If Nacho does indeed leave at the end of the season, then Rafa Martin, currently on loan at Alaves, is believed to take his place in the side.
