Fans were shocked to learn that England midfielder Kobbie Mainoo's brother was on Love Island


Kobbie Mainoo may be fast on his way to football stardom, but his brother is a celebrity in his own right.

In fact, Mainoo's brother Jordan Mainoo-Hames became famous starring in the hit TV show Love Island in 2019.

While her time on the show was fleeting, Mainoo-Hames now works in fashion as a model for brands such as Vogue and Louis Vuitton.

The family link was revealed from Jordan's old social media post two years ago about Kobbie, which read: “Proud big brother moment (for real).”

After discovering their link, fans on social media were quite surprised.

One wrote: “What a family of stars.”


Another said: “Kobbie Mainoo Being Jordan Hames' brother was not what I expected to discover today.”

A third said: “Come on, don't joke with me mate…”

Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: “His parents must have been basketball fans for naming their children Kobbie and Jordan.”

While his brother first became known to reality TV fans, 19-year-old Mainoo quickly made a name for himself.

Mainoo broke through manchester unitedfirst team last season, with a total of 32 appearances for Erik ten Hagfrom the side.

One of those appearances was in the FA Cup final where The Red Devils beat Manchester City to win some silverware.

Mainoo scored the winning goal and after the game he was filmed celebrating with his famous brother.

As well as being a regular starter for the Red Devils, he has broken into the senior England team.

He was delivered his debut during England's 1-0 defeat to Brazil at Wembley in March, in the 75th minute of the match.

Mainoo made his first start for his country against Belgium a few days later and made an instant impact.

Their performances have impressed so much that Gareth Southgate has decided to take the teenager to Euro 2024.

England has named his 26-man team for the tournament and will head to Germany for his first Euro Cup experience.

Mainoo is likely to join his brother and close family for the summer showpiece and will support him and the country as they seek glory.
