Tottenham Hotspur extended their winless streak at Goodison Park to six games by drawing 2-2 on first division matchday 23 on Saturday.

Spurs took an early lead thanks to a goal from Richarlison in the 4th minute. The Brazilian was again available to regain the lead in the 41st minute with a good shot, but Everton He finally got the tie in the last minutes of the game.

Garth Crooks was drooling over the performance of the Brazilian international, who is beginning to establish himself as an integral part of Ange Postecoglou's team.

Since Son Heung-Min's departure to the Asian Cup, the 26-year-old has shown goalscoring qualities that have not been seen since his arrival from Everton.

His goal and performance in the 3-2 win over London rivals Brentford were exceptional. Most notable was her respectful gesture of not celebrating after scoring twice against his former club, Everton, in a 2-2 draw at Goodison Park.

What Crooks said about Richarlison

Crooks stated that he is not a big fan of the Brazilian and at times called him petulant. However, he still has included him in his team of the week for BBC Sports.

He said: “Tottenham and Everton fans will know that Richarlison is not one of my favorite players. In the past he has been petulant, whiny and dramatic, bordering on childish, but since Son Heung-min's departure for the Asian Cup the Brazilian has shown a side of himself that he didn't think he possessed.

“His goal, not to mention his performance in the 3-2 win against Brentford, was outstanding, while his conduct after scoring twice in the 2-2 draw at Everton four days later was as respectful as I have seen in any footballer towards a former club.

“Richirlison not only recognized the importance of goals, but also the devastating effect they can have on Everton's future. Clasping his hands and bowing in an apologetic gesture at Gwladys Street End was as respectful as possible.”

Increase in shape

Richarlison is in top form at the moment and could emerge as a contender for the Premier League Player of the Month award at the end of February.

The former Watford and Everton talisman was in an unmarked position when Destiny Udogie spotted him and expertly slotted the ball into the back of the net. He then showed exceptional finishing when he unleashed a sumptuous shot from the edge of the area to make it 2-1, leaving Jordan Pickford with no chance.

While pundits may have expressed displeasure with the result, Richarlison's performance caught the eye. And the Brazilian has found form at the right time for Tottenham.
