“I’m buzzing,” he said.

“It’s exciting and I just want to kick on and show the fans what I can do.

“The stature of the club – they’re a big club with a lot of history and that’s something that definitely caught my eye.”

On the prospect of playing in the top flight, Iling-Junior added: “It’s something that I always dreamt about as a little boy.

“I went off to Italy and got my experience there. Now I’m coming back to the Premier League from a different development system and I can bring that into my game here.”

The London-born winger progressed quickly during his time in Turin, stepping up to the senior squad in 2022 and establishing himself with the Serie A side.

He featured in the Champions League and racked up 45 appearances in the famous black and white stripes before deciding to join Villa.

Iling-Junior is determined to settle quickly in the Midlands and become a key contributor for Unai Emery’s team at an exciting time for the club.

“I’m someone who wants to play for the badge and for the team,” he said.

“I always want to put on a show for the team, dribbling and getting them excited.

“I want to improve as a player and break into the team as quickly as possible.

“The manager’s developed a lot of players, so I want to work closely with him and push on.”
