'I'm not convinced': Erik ten Hag may have won the FA Cup, but the Manchester United manager is yet to be replaced
Jermaine Jenas believes Manchester United have to part ways with Erik ten Hag, despite him masterminding the club's FA Cup triumph.
He Dutch won his second trophy with Red Devils last Saturday when they beat rival Manchester City 2-1 at Wembley.
United's victory came amid reports that it could be Ten Hag's last game in charge after a campaign in which they finished eighth in the Premier League.
And despite winning the silver medal for the second consecutive season at Old Trafford, the former Tottenham midfielder Jenas believes United should be considering a replacement.
Speaking to Andy Goldstein and Darren Bent on talkSPORT Drive, he said: “Well, the fans and everyone's mentality is: 'Are Manchester United in a pickle after putting in one of their best performances of the year to get that win? '
“I still think they should look elsewhere personally, because I think a coach's performance is based on the longevity of a season.
“When I look at Manchester United at the moment… considering that performance was very specific and tailor-made for one match.
“So it was like, 'Manchester City are going to have a lot of ball, we can sit back and play on the counterattack', Manchester United fans are not going to accept that week in, week out at Old Trafford.
“They want to have the ball, they want to dominate the games, they want to play offensive and exciting football, right?
“So, I haven't personally seen… why has he been there (two years)? I don't think I've seen many performances where I can sit here and say, 'That's an Erik ten Hag performance.' Today I don't know what he's doing!”

Goldstein then asked if it takes time for players to get used to a coach and his tactics, prompting Jenas to comment: “I don't think two years are necessary.
“I think six months is enough time to look at a team and say, 'Okay, you may not be winning games, but I totally understand the direction this team is moving in now, and even during that period of time I'm prepared to accept losses because you are trying this and that.
“I think looking at Erik ten Hag, and we have to take this into account as well, from an injury point of view, he's had a nightmare, of course.
“Luke Shaw, (Tyrell) Malacia, hasn't had a left side for God knows how long. I'm just not convinced.
“I understand why Manchester United fans should feel hugely grateful for the trophies they have handed out in recent years because, obviously being at Spurs, you realize those things don't happen very often and the fans would love one of both.
“But if I'm thinking two, three or five years ahead for Manchester United fans, I just don't think he's the man to get them back to the dominant place they need to be.”
United have been linked with former manager Kieran McKenna amid Ten Hag's uncertain future, but look set to do so. stay in the city of Ipswich.
Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter and Gareth Southgate are among the contenders for the hot seat in case a change is made.
