The Ivan Toney transfer saga has finally come to an end with the striker joining Al Ahli in a £40million deal from Brentford.

Both Chelsea and Arsenal have shown interest in the England international.

The Blues were interested in a late blow for the player, but failed to convert their interest into a formal offer.

As a result, Toney decided to move to Saudi Arabia on a three-year contract.

talkSPORT understands the former Newcastle centre-forward will pocket £50m from his Middle Eastern deal.

Incredibly, that equates to more than £16m a year.

Commenting on the sale, Brentford boss Thomas Frank said: “It has been a pleasure working with Ivan over the past four years.
