Spain have announced their final 26-man squad for Euro 2024, after Luis de la Fuente cut three names from the list. Surprise call-up Ayoze Perez made the team, as did Fermin Lopez of Barcelona, but his teammate Pau Cubarsi did not.

Most had assumed that Cubarsi would make the team given the glowing terms in which he had spoken of the 17-year-old, but he appears to have lost out to Dani Vivian, along with Robin Le Normand, Aymeric Laporte and Nacho Fernandez.

In midfield, Girona captain Aleix Garcia and Atletico Madrid's Marcos Llorente were also left out in favor of Rodri, Martin Zubimendi, Fabian Ruiz, Mikel Merino, Pedri, Alex Baena and Lopez.

In front, Ayoze was the main surprise, while Ferran Torres also made it into the team, with most expecting another midfielder and the aforementioned couple to beat him out.

Full squad:
