Mbappe and the decision that could change everything

Kylian Mbappe hasn’t changed his mind one bit over the last month and a half.

He remains steadfast in his desire to fulfill his contract with PSG, then assess his future and freely choose his next destination in 2024.

At least that is the feeling he conveys after each and every one of his appearances and following PSG‘s decisions.

The Frenchman hasn’t hinted at any sort of desperation towards Real Madrid, given that any sort of displeasure could set off things given there are still three weeks left in the transfer window.

Real Madrid‘s directors are adamant that the problems at PSG aren’t theirs to worry about, and that no transfer is planned, even with the window open until August 31.

The first team continue to work, though things could always change.

Message from Florentino

In fact, this approach was confirmed during Florentino Perez‘s visit to Valdebebas last Monday.

Players, coaches and even employees were waiting to hear from the president over the possible arrival of Mbappe, but that never took place.

The truth is that the Frenchman is clear in that his dream destination is the Santiago Bernabeu, and that should he leave PSG before the end of August, his only option is Los Blancos.

The call for help from the striker to Real Madrid (within the freedom that PSG has supposedly given him to look for a new destination) hasn’t happened.

Moreover, in the event that such a request is made in the final days of the transfer window, Real Madrid wouldn’t make any sort of offer that would compromise the financial stability of the club.

PSG and Mbappe would have to lower their demands radically.

As a result, the transfer figures that are being discussed are far from what Real Madrid could spend (130 million euros).

Real Madrid, for its part, has not made any official move for the striker, nor has it made any attempt to approach the Parisian club, whose leaders continue to show signs of nervousness in each and every one of their decisions.

Mbappe on his own

The striker remains on the sidelines and doesn’t seem to be impressed with his situation, nor his banishment, nor the constant attempts to renew his contract by the Qatari ownership.

He follows his plan and Real Madrid follows theirs. Time, contrary to what happened in 2021, is on their side.

Mbappe is still not giving up the big money he has coming (we already said at the beginning of the summer that the amount between clauses and signing bonuses was close to 240 million euros) and for the moment he has not turned to Real Madrid to help him find a solution.

For the moment, he doesn’t seem to be willing to give up any of that money and remains firm in his intention to fulfil his contract and wait until June 30, 2024 to decide his future.

Mbappe continues to show no sign of weakness, something that sows concern at PSG and tranquility at the Santiago Bernabeu.
