Real Betis are expected to be in the market for two goalkeepers this summer. A new back-up will be needed following the departure of Claudio Bravo – Liverpool's Adrian San Miguel is a candidate – while a 'first-choice keeper' may also be called upon if Rui Silva departs, amid interest from the so native Portugal.
The ideal signing of the Betis “keeper” is Alvaro Valles, who first went through the club's academy before joining Las Palmas in 2018, where he has been ever since. The 26-year-old has already signaled his intention not to sign a new contract, and with his current deal ending in 2025, he could be available on a summer deal.
However, Las Palmas have no intention of letting Valles go cheap, and second AS Diary, Betis currently cannot afford to sign again. Sales, including the expected one of Nabil Fekir, could help, but for now, they cannot make their move.
Fortunately for The Real Betis, the desire of Valles is to return to the Benito Villamarin. He is willing to wait until the Verdiblancos come calling, which would mean rejecting any approach from other clubs. He can also wait until next summer to sign for free, although Las Palmas only want to earn.
