Sheffield United 'should be banned' from winning promotion next season after horrible Premier League campaign

Jamie O'Hara believes Sheffield United should not be able to gain promotion to the Premier League next year after being relegated.

The Premier League confirmed that pending Nottingham Forest and EvertonAppeals over points deductions, the Blades have been demoted to the Championship after a 5-1 defeat against Newcastle.

It has been a campaign to forget for everyone associated with Sheffield Unitedand the Toon's defeat summed up their problems.

AND O'Hara believes Sheffield United should not be allowed promotion from the Championship for a season.

He said: “Sheffield United have conceded 97 goals. It's a record. I mean, it's not the Sunday league.

“I think they should be sanctioned. Give them a season suspension. They have come up, sold their two best players and been a disaster.

“They have 16 points. There should be some kind of ban. If you are that bad, you should not be allowed to return to the Premier League for a season.

“When Sheffield United were previously in the Premier League, they tried. This season is terrible.
