He said: “Sheffield United have conceded 97 goals. It's a record. I mean, it's not the Sunday league.

“I think they should be sanctioned. Give them a season suspension. They have come up, sold their two best players and been a disaster.

“They have 16 points. There should be some kind of ban. If you are that bad, you should not be allowed to return to the Premier League for a season.
