Dortmund face Los Blancos at Wembley Stadium in a crunch final clash to end the European domestic season.
The Bundesliga side finished fifth in their domestic campaign and head into the final as away teams against Real Madrid.
The current The league the champions aim for a 15th European Cup/Champions League crown against an unfancied Dortmund side.
However, despite the odds being stacked against them, Terzic wants his players to channel that energy to their advantage.
He asked his team to remember their status before the match before the semi-final victories Paris Saint Germain last month.
“If you play 10 games against Real Madrid it's difficult, but if you go to a final, everything is possible. It's about the game, not the occasion. We had 60 games to prepare for the final,” he said in his pre-match press conference.
“It is clear that they are favourites, but we don't care. We were not favorites against Atletico Madrid or PSG.
Terzic's message will be vital for his players, ahead of facing Real Madrid in London, with current OPTA figures putting them at less than 35% to emerge as champions.
