casemiroOnce considered one of the best midfielders in the world, he had a poor game as Erik ten Hag's team suffered another defeat.

As a result, the United fan golden bridge has disagreed with the club's hiring and believes its European rivals have gotten the best of their previous deals.

“I think obviously Manchester United are looking at people like Michael Olise and you can see he would be a very welcome addition to United,” he said on talkSPORT Breakfast.

“Last night we didn't have Bruno Fernandes, he has received a lot of criticism, but the leadership he brings to the team, there are a lot of young guys who were lost on the field last night and there are a lot of overpaid players who shouldn't be.” He will be wearing a Man United shirt.

“I think when you look at the changes that INEOS are trying to make, what they can't do is what everyone else has done and just replace the coach and try to get a tune out of this collection of players who clearly, year after year, capitulate and give up.

“So the recruitment is massive, real Madrid, Bayern Munich, there are many others, they have absolutely assaulted us over the years. I mean, if you look at Casemiro last night, I thought he was brilliant last season, this year, terrible.

“Real Madrid would have known what was coming, they knew that (Raphael) Varane was injury prone. Bayern Munich I knew with (Bastian) Schweinsteiger that his days were over, and it's just a horrible recruitment.

“Going to Crystal Palace as Manchester United but going as a big loser really shows where we are as a football club. Everyone is ringing up saying, 'Fire the manager', we've been there, we've done that.” “It's a much bigger problem than that.”

Casemiro enjoyed a good start at United after leaving Madrid last season, making 51 appearances and helping the team win the League Cup.

However, the 32-year-old has appeared just 29 times in the current campaign and his performance at Selhurst Park was arguably the worst for the club.

United now face another big summer of transfer activity, with recent windows not proving as successful as hoped despite spending around £1.5bn over the last ten seasons.

Recent reports claim that the club could listen to offers for all but three players: Rasmus Hojlund, Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho.

Questions also remain over Ten Hag's future as boss with United having just three league games and an FA Cup final left to salvage their season.
