Tottenham Hotspur are considering signing Nordsjaelland winger Ibrahim Osman in the summer, according to a journalist Ben Jacobs.

The 19-year-old winger has been targeted by western ham United this month and the Hammers recently failed with an €18m (£16m) bid to sign the player.

Nordsjaelland expect a premium due to the level of interest shown in the attacker, so West Ham are forced to look for alternative targets.

Ben Jacobs claims Tottenham are among the interested parties and are “considering a move” for Osman at the end of the season if he does not join West Ham this month.

However, Spurs will face tough competition as the journalist says teams such as Monaco, Wolfsburg, Bologna and Borussia Mönchengladbach are also interested in the player.

Tottenham could certainly do with more quality in wide areas and the 19-year-old would add pace, style and goals to Ange Postocoglou's side if he moved to north London.

The Ghanaian winger is highly valued in Europe and has a bright future ahead of him. A movement towards first division It will be a tempting proposition for him and Tottenham is one of the biggest clubs in the country.

Osman would fit well at Tottenham

They have an ambitious project and a quality manager in charge. Postecoglou has introduced free-flowing attacking football to the north London club and Osman could certainly thrive in his system.

Regular football in England could accelerate his development and help him reach his tremendous potential.

A move to Tottenham would certainly be a big step forward for him and the winger will be looking to test himself at the highest level. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops in the coming days.

Spurs will surely hope the winger remains in Nordsjaelland until the end of the season so they can make their move for him in the summer.
